Installation Instructions:

For Windows Users:
  • Download the latest release of Bloxstrap from the download page.
  • Run the downloaded file and configure your preferences if needed.
  • Click on Install and wait for the installation to finish.
  • Once installed, Bloxstrap will be added to your Start Menu, where you can access the menu and reconfigure your preferences if needed.
  • You will also need the .NET 6 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t already have it installed, you’ll be prompted to install it anyway. Be sure to install Bloxstrap after you’ve installed this.

Known Issues:

Addressing usability problems with Bloxstrap v2.5.4

Here are some important tips to avoid problems when using it. Disregard any conflicting information in the menu.

  • Avoid FastFlag Editor unless expert (this tool allows you to modify game settings that may affect performance or stability)
  • Limit framerate to 240 or lower (zero for 60) (higher framerate may cause network delay or game crashes when switching games)
  • Be careful with lighting technology choice (some games may have lighting glitches with different technologies)
  • Old material textures option may not function (need manual flag addition in flag editor)

"Signature does not match!" error when launching Roblox

This problem happens when Bloxstrap downloads the Roblox game files. A rare and mysterious bug in the OS or network corrupts large files. This is not Bloxstrap’s fault, and Roblox’s launcher has the same issue.

The easiest solution is to restart your computer and launch Roblox again. It should work fine. If not, wait for a while and it might resolve itself. Or use the original Roblox launcher, if it works.

The next version of Bloxstrap, v2.6.0, will have a fix for this. I don’t know when it will be out, but it will happen.

"Access to the path is denied" error when trying to reinstall Bloxstrap

Important: This information only applies for the following error: 

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Bloxstrap\Bloxstrap.exe' is denied.

Ignore the information provided here if your error message does not contain the same file path. If it does, keep reading.

This only happens if you try to reinstall Bloxstrap. It's a bug that we haven't yet been fully able to squash primarily because Windows is, let's say, less than perfect. However, you can fix it yourself by doing one of the following:

  • Restarting your PC
  • Deleting the folder at %localappdata%\Bloxstrap manually
